The new dining facility at Bates College in Lewiston, Maine, boasts a spacious, environmentally friendly interior with meeting rooms and common areas,
as well as a cafeteria for upwards of 1,000.
Connectivity Point was pleased to install a certified Category 6 Commscope/Uniprise structured cabling system within this 60,000 square foot building. Single mode, multi-mode, and multi-pair copper cables were installed through underground conduits to connect the dining facility and new data center
to the rest of the campus.
The building was designed by Sasaski Associates, Inc. and built to LEED® Silver standards by Consigli Construction. Some energy efficient features include:
motion light sensors, heat recovery systems and numerous recycled materials.
