On Call International Category 6 Network Cabling, Security, and Sound Masking

Connectivity Point completed another comprehensive network cabling, security system and sound masking project, on time and under budget.

On Call International is a travel risk management services company in Salem, NH, that has been protecting millions of people for more than 20 years. In 2015, On Call International was named to the Inc. 5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies.*

Connectivity Point’s relationship with On Call International began in 2012, with the installation of a sound masking system for the call center. This grew into servicing their small network cabling needs and service requests. When On Call decided that a new, larger building was needed, they were pleased that Connectivity Point could provide a wide range of technology infrastructure and systems across the approximately 24,000 square foot space.

Connectivity Point installed a complete Category 6 structured cabling system, as well as equipment racks for network patch panels and equipment, including the provision of three APC Netshelter cabinets and an overhead cable tray system in the server room.

Approximately 180 sound masking emitters were installed throughout the open-office area to reduce distractions caused by conversation in close proximity. Sound masking was also installed in private offices to enhance the confidentiality of conversations that could be overheard between offices.

Connectivity Point provided and installed an access control system which included eleven doors (interior and exterior), and an under-counter door release button for the receptionist. The IP video surveillance system consisted of eleven AXIS IP fixed vari-focal cameras, AXIS Camera Station and NVR for video management. A duress system was another important feature and included wireless pendants and hardwired buttons in strategic locations. Connectivity Point’s central station monitors the system and reacts to alarms as needed.

Connectivity Point performed the entire project on time and under budget. Like On Call, Connectivity Point attributes continued growth and success to the hard work and dedication of stellar employees and their ability to provide world-class service.
