SkillSoft is a leading provider of
e-learning and performance support solutions for global enterprises, government, education and small to medium-sized businesses. As described in their website, “SkillSoft enables business organizations to maximize business performance through a combination of comprehensive e-learning content, online information resources, flexible learning technologies and support services.”
Connectivity Point was requested to install, terminate, and test over 1,000 copper UTP cables between equipment cabinets in the SkillSoft co-lo data center. In addition to the UTP cabling, over 575 strands of multimode fiber were also installed, terminated and tested.
Working within a live data center is always a challenge. Cramped work spaces, active equipment running business-critical applications and tight timelines are typical for these projects.
Connectivity Point specializes in data center cabling such as this and the responsibility for this project
was assigned to technicians Todd Brown and Warren Droms.
Todd summed up the job candidly, “My fingers are sore.” Thanks Todd & Warren, you can take a break now.
