TechPlace

TechPlace_AV_0315_1“TechPlace, Brunswick Landing’s Technology Accelerator, will support the business development needs of early stage companies in a shared workspace. TechPlace will give entrepreneurs a place to network with others, research and develop ideas, build prototypes, test products, assemble, grow, and become successful manufacturing and technology companies.”

And so begins the introduction straight from the Mid Coast Regional Redevelopment’s website for the latest addition to the Brunswick Landing campus, TechPlace.

Brunswick Landing, formerly known as the Brunswick Naval Air Station, is a 3,200 acre facility with over 2 million square feet of commercial and industrial space, and home of the Brunswick Executive Airport.  Since 2011 the Mid Coast Regional Redevelopment Authority (MRRA) TechPlace_AV_0315_4has been converting this former navy base into a thriving complex of business activity.  Connectivity Point has had the pleasure of being involved in a number of projects on the campus (e.g. Resilient Corp – now Oxford Networks – data center; American Bureau of Shipping; Southern Maine Community College; Army National Guard Readiness Center; just to name a few) but none captures the full scope of our capabilities like TechPlace.

Working closely with MRRA’s technology partner, Compass Technology Managers, Connectivity Point was able to provide a full suite of products and services to ensure the technology infrastructure that was installed was fitting for a facility with a name like TechPlace.

Ultimately, Connectivity Point installed the following systems: access control card readers; audio/visual flat screens in conference rooms; video conferencing equipment; cellular amplification system; network cabling including cabling for wireless access points; and sound masking for this multi-tenanted space.

While this particular project was not large in terms of size, it was a perfect example of the added value Connectivity Point can provide customers.  It’s Connectivity Point’s goal to design and install flexible, affordable, and scalable solutions that meet our customer’s needs of today, and tomorrow.

We can do the same for you.  Contact us today for a free consultation.
